Ingredients

Hing

1 cup

Grated coconut

Green chillies

1 tbsp

Tamarind paste

to taste

Salt

as needed

Water

1 tsp

Oil

1 tsp

Mustard seeds

Dried red chilies

Approximate Cooking Time: 15 Minutes

Step 1

  • Blend grated coconut, green chillies, tamarind paste, salt, and hing with a little water to a smooth paste.
  • Heat oil in a small pan.
  • Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.

Step 2

  • Add dried red chilies and curry leaves; sauté briefly.
  • Pour the tempering over the chutney and mix well.

Step 3

  • Serve with idli, dosa, or as a side dish.
